When is Google Update

Google has been 1 month delay now. It was supposed to update of every pagerank but until now Google is now showing any sign of PR update. SEO communities knew that changes in PR is schedule by the end of 2nd quarter but until now Aug 7, Google is not changing anything.

It was not the first time that Google was delayed in its update. Maybe it is related to the security trouble that Google experiencing now. I even remember my Gmail account is sending advertisement to most email address in my address book. It even send an email to my yahoo account and office corporate email.

Many SEO specialist do not believed that PR is still important. Partly correct and partly wrong.  A PR 0 or none site would not be able enough ranking but a PR 3 to PR 5 will be easy to get keyword rank. So PR is still important specially to those websites that still new in the world wide web.

 So how do you know that Google change the rank.

1. By using traditional searchstatus plugin in your firefox, you can easily see the changes in ranking. There are also other tools like Google Toolbar, page rank checker, link extend and quake are some of the famous tools very useful in page rank monitoring.
2. Another way to notice page rank is simple the traffics itself. If you site jump from PR 1 to PR 4, then you will see the big difference. Traffics could be double or triple.For the site that move from one to the next level, it is barely seen. Link building or optimization matters most.

Google Change the PR at the end of October

Last Oct 30, 2009 the day is revealing day to all SEO specialist and all companies that expect customer from search engine. Google the mother of search engine who command more than 50% share of outline users. Google created a web page ranking system known for site authority. Google get the first page or rank 10 while yahoo got the page rank 9. There are many bookmarking sites that have PR 8 and PR7. The technology is simple, the higher the page rank the higher of chance in getting display in search engine which means more traffics.

Last friday of Oct 30, 2009 is a delayed quarterly page rank update for Google. I expect it at the end of September but it happen at the end of October. History tell us that Google Page Rank usually change by quarter so their will be 4 changes in a year.

Now my major website got something new. Our page rank 4 goes down to page rank 3. It happened to our 3 sites that enjoy PR 4 for almost 6 months. The good thing on our PR 3 sites is that keywords is getting better so we could expect visitors within the month of November from search engine. On the other hand, the other site that i usually work as SEO adviser got PR 3 from PR 4. The reason is that the number of back links that we usually enjoy got drop while the internal pages rise. Yes, most of the individual pages that we work got higher page rank as much as PR 2 while the rest got PR 1.

The blog that i maintained became victim of changes too. It enjoy quality back links but now i am feeling of the competition already. In my theory, even the PR changes traffic still the same yet we all know that everything have to be monitor. The biggest theory of them all is that " Will the traffic change as the PR 3 goes down?".

How Important is the Page Rank

A lot of forum and blog talks about PR which according to them is no longer important in traffic generation. They PR is just a display or website decoration. The truth is for a new website that building a traffics, PR is very important. Look at the image below and you will see the difference of PR0 to PR 4.

You can find some sites that has PR 0 and 1 but they have good traffics. It is also true. The blog or sites are penalized according to PR. They still got quality number of traffics because they have hundreds or thousands back links from other sites as well as hunderds of pages in GIP.



If you reach desirable traffics, it is fine to lose your Page Rank. But never allowed your site to lost your PR at the same time you let your back link away too.

Google Algorithm change?

I just could not understand Google why our keywords which enjoy rank 2 and now rank 17 in just a short while. Just 1 week and we slide to page 2 and 3. The crawled page is there, the back links is there. I check if there are illegal copies from our main site and there are some but these are low PR unlike the original.

I am thinking that maybe there is new updated on google algorithm. Anyone any news or info about Google algorithm changes?

The Race for Page Rank

When will be the major Page Rank change? This March 31 will be the end of the 1st quarter of the year 2009. This will be a major day for those online marketer and the companies or blogs they are working with. This is the day set by Google to change the popularity rank of every sites. Last December 31, my blog is just PR 2 when it jump to PR 3. Some of my blog remain still but it would be fine. The good thing is that our company site - the used car sale from Japan got the PR 4 and my friends site got PR 1 in just a month of starting his Singapore jobs site.

In Philippines, blog became a power to communicate people. Politician are being attack through blogs. Corrupt officials and poor practice of government services including the poor service of the Company like internet service provider who promise to have better coverage yet you will be off from live most of the time.

I know India is the world leader in IT service and their sites are rocking the world. Their advantage is not only cheap but also the visitors. You that the visitors is one of the factors in site importance, that is why their sites are very popular.

So how this PR will affect the site specially those business sites that rely on popularity to get traffics live Job Ad Sites. We all know that Google page rank is about popularity rank. The first company site that will display in the browser will have highest PR according to Google criteria. So if you have this higher PR more likely your site is always on the top of the browser page and then more traffics you can get.

So the race for the higher PR start last January and will ended this March 2009. There money to earn and money to lose from this site owner. It is like the Google is now dictating a dance floor.
